Motivation Monday

Happy Monday!! First I can’t believe that today is October 1st, WOW! I mean seriously where has the time gone? With only 3 months left of the year time is going by waayyy too fast! Which leads to Motivation Monday this week is all about being grateful. Last week was my first full week back in the swing of things in terms of running and I feel grateful that I am blessed to be able to keep on moving forward. Every day is a blessing and being an athlete who is able to train and participate fills me with an overwhelming sense of pure joy. Without being grateful I don’t see how being an athlete is possible.

  1. I’m thankful that I can do what I’m doing. I’ve had to overcome a lot to get to where I’m at, and I know that I will likely not always be able to do this either. I’m trying to be thankful every time I exercise instead of grumbling that I “have to go to the gym” (as if I HAVE to anyways- it’s always a choice!).

    • You are not alone with the grumbling! The hardest part of my run is slipping on my running shoes and getting out the door, the rest is a piece of cake. Afterwords my spirits are always lifted!

  2. I’m thankful that it’s October and I am finally tapering down after 5 long months of training for my first marathon!! 🙂 Thought you might like that one. BTW, found you on the SPA facebook page!

    • WOW! I am impressed that you are running your first full marathon! I am still having a difficult time wrapping my head around it! I am training for my first full this January! Best of luck on your full!
