Step Away From The Candy Bowl…2012

Last year I learned that an average American ate 24.7 pounds of candy in 2010. I still shocked by this statistic from the US Census Bureau Current Industrial Reports. Just close your eyes for a moment and think about how heavy 25 pounds is. Could you seriously imagine consuming that much candy in one year? Regardless of the Halloween festivities we are all celebrating let’s vow to put the candy down and go for a run as October 31st is national Step Away from the Candy Bowl 5k!
If you must indulge in Halloween festivities here are my favorite Halloween recipes that won’t scare your scale! Each recipe can be found by clicking on the picture, unless it is self-explanitory. Happy Halloween!

Carrots, Cucumbers, and Dip all working together to be a Pumpkin!

Cuties AKA Pumpkins!!! Grab a black Sharpie and viola your cuties are now pumpkins!!

Boo! These strawberries decided to be ghosts for Halloween!

Apple Bites masked as toothsome treats!

Crunchy Spiders! Fun for all ages!

Grab a black Sharpie Peach or Mandarin Cups and these fruits are decked out in pumpkin costumes.

QOTD: What was your best costume for Halloween? What is your favorite Halloween snack?
