Weekly Recap: April 2013 Week 3

Happy Sunday! I don’t know about you, but I am ready to slam the door shut on this week. I think that it would be safe to say that this has been a very long week. Between the devastating and tragic events in Boston on Monday, my first remicade infusion on Wednesday, and more iron infusions on Friday I think that it is fair to say that this week has been draining emotionally and physically. I simply can’t stop thinking about the participants and spectators at the Boston Marathon. I was very excited and eager to head out to the beach and go for a run with Team Challenge mates. For me a beach run was definitely needed to clear my mind, even for just an hour.

In terms of my own fitness this week was another slow week and I think that my running shoes about ready to send an SOS to my running shoes if I don’t get healthy soon and start running. I managed to get in two runs, one them honoring the Boston Marathon participants and spectators.

Here’s how I did this week.

Sunday: rest

Monday: rest

Tuesday: 2 miles run/walk

Wednesday: rest

Thursday: rest

Friday: rest

Saturday: 3.5 mile run/walk for Boston

QOTD: Does running help clear your head and provide much needed perspective?

  1. I definitely feel a difference when I go for a run – it’s a good way to reflect and process things…Great job this week! :0)
